![]() Hello guys, despite the best eduation the German system offered, I am that much unable to follow your talk, that you won´t even believe! May I be allowed anyway to ask a (possibly) stupid, surely simple, question...? Since about 2 years I "work" with Bearshare (old software, something with a 5 in front) with GOOD success. Since about 2,3,4 days I realized, no matter what I was looking for (mainly films), that nothing, absolutely nothing at all was loading. I upgraded to 6.0, assuming here lie the problem! That done I couldn´t trust my eyes any more. Things got worse, not better. No more films were even showing up (not even the likes of "****** R***l"), leave alone were downloading. Then, just to "check" the system, I tried "music" and "******" as band of coiche. And...? You might guess already. Some meager 50-something songs showed up (half of them not even from the *****), while, with my old Bearshare, I had seen hundreds, if not thousands! When I read the sticker "absolutely legal", when upgrading to 6.0, I was already fearing that the good old days could be over! And the question is.....? Am I right? Or am I just stupid! If so, I blame it on the German education-system! What´s up with (the new, 6.0) Bearshare? Would you mind telling me, please? from Berlin, Juliette PS is there an option? an alternative to Bearshare? Mainly for new films and alternative music? Any alternative besides "Limewire", which gives me 90% bullshit, when asking for films (not music, though). ![]() Let me answer you in an easy way,.....I'll do it in English, since you have posted in the English part of the forum (besides, this here is the LimeWire part of the forum), though I've had the same "good, old German education".... The BS days as you were used to know them are definitely gone, since they sold themselves to the RIAA (or was it the MPAA??)........BUT......there is a way to get the old good days back..... Follow this link and do exactly what Aaron advises to do in his 1st post.....then you'll be back in the game.....: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=53386 Na, dann hoff ich mal das dieser Tip hilfreich fuer Sie ist...... (for those not able to understand German.....well, I hope that this advice will be helpful for you) Cheers ![]()

![]() Hello, dear unknown poster, that´s very kind of you. Thanx a lot. I haven´t read this post yet - of course I will, right after this one - but maybe you allow me to add a question. Please don´t mind. Since this is the LimeWire part of the forum (sorry, saw it too late) I would like to know why they are so "weak" with films? Is that there or my mistake? I tried to load "****", "********", "******" and "T**********" (etc.) and was stunned, when I got them, all of them, the very next morning. Though the obligatory ca. 800 MB were shown per film, each download was completely empty. In total I "quasi-downloaded" ca. 50 films, but reality was different. Hollow. Empty. Nada. Ooooh, guess what! The VERY LAST (!!!) one worked. "***********" it was called. And it was! But not the 2006 version. One from 1999. And...? Yeah, trust me! It was a really good film I would like to recommend herewith. Maybe in return for your kind help! Hoping for your second assist, thanx for your kindness, Juliette (actually French....!) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Edited to comply with the House Rules (click here). ![]() Well, the "first" second assist I gave you in form of editing your post the second time........(you definitely ought to read the forum rules......either in English or in German)....... There are a lot of bogus files around in the network. This thread explains to you how to recognize faked files: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...98&postcount=4 And this thread tells you how to use the Bitzi function to check files before trying to download them: How to use Bitzi Cheers ![]()
