0mega100 is flying high
Default Can't really download anything

Ok, I've been using Limewire for about a year now. It's been very good to me. Well, just yesterday I started trying to download stuff. The files were only download at about 1 or 2 kb/s, and if they didn't download they just said Needs More Sources.

Help would be nice.

Things that sit connecting for ages & then need more sources are usually fake files. The thread below has more info & tips for these
Fake files showing up in search results

If all files that will download are going really slowly (even with multiple sources), try a file from here & see what speed you get

Deleting LW's preferences folder might help, see points 2 & 3 below for instructions
Fixes for LimeWire

If that magnetmix file downloads slowly too, let us know if you're seeing the firewall icon (brick wall) & also who your ISP is

Um, the stuff from the website also went very slow. And yes, the globe does have a brick over it, even when I turn off all firewalls it still does. I'm not sure who my ISP is.

Where do you connect from (house, apartment, student accommodation, work, school etc)? If you're connecting from a private house, who do you pay for your internet? When those magnetmix files download very slowly, it can be a sign of problems with an ISP.
