and I can't find any Limewire on my computer, but this pop up with that stuff which is above keeps popping up. Is there a way to install and then delete limewire completely even though they say there is already limewire on thiS?

That's usually a worm....read here:

If the suggestions made in this thread do not solve your problem, try to open your task manager (crlt&alt + delete -one time), there you go to processes and look for a limewire.exe process. If found force it to end.

Then use the search function of your computer to look for any remaining LW files using the search query "limewire". Delete all those file found.
Then open your regedit via Run...>Regedit. Go to local machines and look for the Limewire folder. Delete it.

That should it be...

Okay, the last step:

Look at the left bottom corner of your desktop. There is a button saying "START". Click it. Now look for "Run...". Click it. Now type "regedit" into it and click "OK". A window will open. There you go to "Local Machine". Look for the folder "Software". Open it. Then look for the folder "Limwire". Right click the folder and delete it.
That's it.

didn't work..when I put in regedit..it said "regeditis not valid" and something more..this thing is starting to get really annoying..sorry if I'm annoying you..but this computer is really stupid

for some reason the shortcut for WTM doesnt work recently my step-dad's been doin some crap on the computer with msconfig (microsoft system configuration) and the ctrl alt delete function doesnt work is there any possible way that either msconfig messed somat up or another way to get to it ive tryed search and run.



12/16 6:45 PM: UPDATE: i found a thing from stanson on a walkthru i got to the point of deleting limewire thru add/remove programs but it also talks about limeshop do you no anything about that? also i got that and it brings up a java script icon on a window but no program text info and it says exactly wat that limewiresux56 has printed and i tried to go regedit but it says that it is in use and i cant access it. wen i try to delte the programs thru program files and search it says that the file is either resticted or in use and cant be deleted any idea wat to do piz help i want to get back to my life but limewire seriously ***** up my computer.

Default Omfg Sooo Obvious!!!!

i now love and adore my cousin even more then before today at our x-mas party he suggested going into safe mode on the comp and deleting all the files in there and removing em from the recycle bin. IT WORKED
