Upload / download problems
 

I just bought a new computer and downloaded LW but for some reason I get almost crawling speeds. The only thing that has changed is my computer as the old one was running the same version of LW. With the same routers and modems. The old computer was downloading audio at 99-130 and video at 23-45 My normal download speeds are 1295 / 223 (Kbps)
(158.1 / 27.3 KB/sec) for 2362 miles

Did your new computer come with different security, a new firewall or AV, anything like that...If so make sure you configure it to allow Limewire...:rolleyes_2:

If you're using both LW's at the same time then the older one probably has a better connection & file information in the prefs folder & is hogging the bandwidth.

I've heard of issues from a few users using Windows Media Center who have reinstalled it or upgraded to it. Not sure why. It might be related to network settings. Also, did you make sure UPnP is enabled on WMC?

Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?
