Songs Deleted

I recently downloaded 104 songs off of limewire to my ipod nano.
76 songs were deleted and I have no idea why. I hope someone
will be able to help me. Thank you.

The songs were deleted from my ipod nano. The songs are
still in the itunes library. I have tried to transfer the songs
from my computer to my ipod and it did not work. What should
I do now??

The songs were in windows format. After I downloaded the songs they transferred successfully to my ipod. It was working fine. One day my ipod was not working properly and I plugged it into my computer. It said it might be corrupted. After that 76 out of 104 songs were deleted.

Alot of times the song's are in Mp3 format when you download them, but if you try to play them in Windows Media Player it will pop up a window saying "The file you are trying to play is in another format than listed" and it will ask you do you still want to play it. If it pop ups that means your Ipod can't use it. Because in your IpoD it will be an error , instead of automatically choosing yes. So check all of your files before your upload them to your IpoD.
