i was downloading fast..... hi i was downloading before @200 KBs i didnt change anything whats wrong? i do not see a brick wall in front of the globe. its going no more than 70 KBs now. speed test shows that i can download @764 kbs any suggestions i have windows xp home edition norton- its configured properly 256 ram 30% frree space dsl-verizon modem-westell 6100- configured also connecting from home limewire version-4.12.6 java 1.5._09 test works no sharing new problem somewhat experienced |
There might be a possible corruption of the LW preference folder. You can try and delete it to see whether that will bring any changes. Read here on how to delete this folder (Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=36420 Afterwards reboot your computer. Another possibility is that you ISP has started to shape your bandweidth usage. :Smilywais: |

Well, if resetting your router (as a last option) doesn't have any effect, then the terms of Verizon applied to their wireless contracts have been silently extended to your service. Quote:

what should the average speed be? would this not be dependant on other's internet connection? mine is about 40 KB/s, for all downloads so far |
