i am getting this message when i start the new version. it didn't warm about this problem when i updated. how do i find my old download list? thanks a lot

Downlds refuse to reload (click on link). However LW 4.12+ will normally continue from where they left off. I guess it depends how old your other version was. The new LW might not work well with incomplete files from a version before version 4.9. Also, be sure you uninstalled the previous version properly. For versions 4.4 or later, the installer will remove the previous version at beginning of installation. However, if your previous version was earlier than 4.4 then you'd need to use the Add/Remove control panel to remove the previous version depending upon whether you used the standard version or international version. The international version had an uninstaller in the program folder. The reason I'm discussing this is the previous version might not have been uninstalled properly & might be launching at the same time you're opening LW 4.12 & thus running in the background. Control-alt-del & see how many limewires are listed.

i think i was a lw 4.9. i didn't have to uninstall my previous lw. i just follow the instructions on the web site when prompted and it seems lw4.12.6 overwrote the prevoius version. i had a long list of pending downloads, and i have lost them all. i wish the software had warned me so i could have writen the list down!!! i wonder if there is a way to find it somewhere!!!

You can still resume them or attempt to. Go to Library window, select incomplete folder, select all the incomplete files & press Resume button. That will force them back into the download window.

lol Yes, hopefully they resumed from the same % they were before. If not, then just have to search for sources to get them going again.
