Incomplete downloads don't start again Any incomplete downloads that stop after a while indicating "Not enough sources" or "Queue" never seem to start downloading again on their own. When I relogin again at a later date or time, they immediately start looking for sources, etc. but never seem to find any sources and just terminate. If I create a new search with the same name, etc. as one of those items that terminate, it seems to find a source and initiate downloading. Why is this? I would think that if a download doesn't complete, it should start up again later on its own looking for new or the same sources and then continue downloading. |
A search is & always has been the best way to find souces for downloading a file. Why a file stops & won't recontinue ... anybody's guess. I may be because that person went offline & the same or other person with same file came online later. Sometimes files stop due to sensitive connection between you & them. Perhaps their upload bandwidth was all used up with something else. In these scenarios, I re-search the file, I will also right-click the search tab & choose 'find more results'. And if possible I will also try to browse the host which sometimes restarts the download. If not, I cancel the download & reselect from the search results. |
