** Downloads always fall to 0 kb/s!!! ** I have this weird problem, no matter from who i download T1, Cable....etc my downloads start of over 70 or 80k/sec then they drop to 0k/sec then goes up again to around 40k/sec then back to 0, i cant download any song like that cuz it takes forever. I dont have any problems with my connection i was able to use similar services and this is something i never came across before. Does anyone have a clue why can this be happening? Thanx |
This can happen for a bunch of reasons: - the computer serving the file doesn't have enough bandwidth or processing power to send the file at a steady rate - Internet sluggishness, that is sometimes data travels very quickly but overloading occurs and then as the data needs to be sent again the rate drops. While similar services may be fine, it is possible that LimeWire traffic may be using a slower part of the network. - your computer may be busy doing something else, but if you're just downloading (and only connected to an ultrapeer in some cases) then it shouldn't be a factor I notice this problem as well although it varies depending on what host I am downloading from. |
Me Too Some are steady - some jump up and down - I get quite excited when they go really quick - sad person aren't I:) |
Where do all the screamers hang out? I'm a Napster refuge and my heart sinks when I see the quickest I can snag someone at is 30KB/s. I used fly with the eagles at 300+ over on 'ster. |
