Downloading Movies... Help!!!!

Hi

I got an Ipod Video 30GB for Christmas & need some help as I am getting extremely stressed and spent the past 2 days trying to move a movie from Limewire files to I-Tunes to go on my Ipod. It is a MP4 film so does not need converting.

I have spent 2 days trying adding file to I-tunes, tried dragging & dropping, changed where downloads are sent, to no avail. Everything advised in previous threads & all the advice sites you recommend I have tried without success.

I have i-tunes, could someone please start me from the beginning,as I think I may altered the destination folder & not sure how to put it right. Please reply in simple terms as I am not very techincally minded & seriously considering selling it on.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I-pod help info.

some downloads won't work in an I-pod because of the format and must be converted. I too had such problems. However, I was able to covert it with a video conversion program called AVS video converter which was free from there web site but it'll have there logo on screen unless you spend some money to register it. It's well worth it!:xeri_ok1ani:

Go to avsmedia.com and download the video converter. Its free but I advise you to buy the registration code and register it, otherwise you'll have the avs pop-up logo in the middle of everything you convert. I have the same I-pod and the program works great with I-pods, it even has an I-pod uploader feature.Try the free download and see for yourself.

ok here it is; go to avsmedia.com and download the video converter it works great and its very useful. I advise you to buy the registration code. if you don't then everything you convert will have the avs media logo in the center of whatever you convert. There is a package deal of four programs for little money and well worth it.

Thanks, that is what I have downloaded but nothing will convert. Can you suggest what type of movie files I should look for? Size, type, etc....?

ok here is what you do, open the avs video converter program, click on the browse button, then find the file (movie) you want to convert left click(highlight it) then click on open, the file should appear in the input file name box, then select the format you wish to format it to and click on the convert now button. The output file name will remain the same as the original and be in the same path (location) as the original also. However, the converted file will have the word "new" at the end of it. if you want it to go into your I-pod you must convert it to the MP4 format. I hope that helps you.:xeri_ok1ani:
