I don't know what happened. When I booted up and logged into limewire, my shared files settings were still there, but ALL the songs I had downloaded had DISAPPEARED from my library. They are also no longer on my hard drive. What they hey??????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????? This is my third post, I am having not much fun and I even paid for PRO so I just don't get it. Oh well. I sure don't know if I feel at this point like I can recommend lw to anyone. Just wishing it didn't seem to have so many glitches. Thanks anyone.

Have you used the computer's search to look for files? For LW versions 4.12.6 & earlier, files are deleted without being sent to the recycle bin, if they're deleted from LW's library. The 4.13.0 beta will send files to the recycle bin.

But my only question is, why were the songs deleted from my library in the first place? I don't know how I can DL music, have it copied to my hard-drive, then re-boot and log-in to find it gone?

Had you changed the location of your saved folder from the default (for Windows - C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Shared)?
Normally, files have to be deleted from LW's library to disappear. People have done this by accident, not realising that their files will be lost. Sometimes, people may add their library to a media player (as a playlist) & they assume they can delete everything from LW's library afterwards & still have files saved...not saying you've done this, just giving an example.

Hi again. Nope, didn't change anything....I just reloaded the program and voila, all but 3 songs were gone.


P.S. I'm jealous of your beaches!!! grew up in florida, not even close as nice, but just enough to give you the taste for it

MORE oddities...I FOUND the music, but not in my library, no, no, no...under a folder that I did NOT create called "music now" in my SHARED FILES. Seriously, this is so weird.
