Downloads are blank Hey guys, i have downloaded a cpl of files over the past month or so, they are Mpeg files and both are blank, they are both around 700meg but once they play there is nothing but a blank black soundless file. do I need to convert the files or maybe a different codec. any help will be great thanks in advance Rusty |
You might need codecs for your player. There are links in the thread below & also a link to the free VLC player, which has codecs installed & plays most things (in case you'd like to try it);) Codecs & VLC |
still blank Thanks for the tip but it doesnt seem to be either codec or player the file just seems to be blank but its a big blank file if thats the case. I have not seen a 700meg black mpeg before and to have two of them turn up seems weird.:yikes: |
Did you try playing the file with VLC? Also, did you preview the file while it was downloading? Always use Bitzi to check movie files before download...if other users have rated the file, you'll get an idea of it's content & quality;) How to use Bitzi Web Lookup |
Hey Birdy thanks for the help sorted one out with the VLC and the other file was a bogus peice of junk...once again thanks for the help its nice to see there are genuine people here on the net. Rusty |
