Default No Uploads

I am able to download with no problems, but I can't upload files to others. It's not a firewall issue (there's no brick wall). I have the newest version of Limewire, the newest version of Java, and I run Windows XP Pro. I can't figure out why people can't get files from me.

In LW go tools > options > big reports > view example. Scroll down to 'recieved incoming this session'...is it true or false? If it's true then you can recieve incoming connections (from other computers) & there should be no problem.

Just go tools > options > uploads > slots. Make sure that upload slots & uploads per person aren't set at zero

Thanks for the reply.

It's "true", and yet I've never been uploaded from by anyone, or been able to chat with anyone.

It's set to "3" and "20", but I'll never seen a single one of my files being uploaded, and the chat feature is non-functioning, despite the fact that I have chat enabled.

Chat is broken in this version.

Your settings sound ok. Are you checking for uploads by looking at the monitor page or from the library? If you go to the library & check the Uploads column...figure on the left shows successful uploads while the figure on the right shows attempted uploads.

If you're concerned, send me a PM with your IP address & port (click on Direct Connect tab, below Keyword, on the search page & this info will show)...I'll direct connect to you & see whether I can download from you.
Don't post your IP in the open forum though!

I'm waiting on busy host...do you see me as a queued download or anything? Go to the monitor page & check the upload pane.

Who is your ISP?

They all say "0/0".

Okay, I've done that. I hope you can download. That would be a first for me!

Hello all -

This is my first post on this forum. I too, am experiencing the same issue with my uploads not working. I see hundreds of "Transfer Interrupted" under status on the Monitor tab.

This had been working fine until yesterday when I upgraded to version 4.12.

I am a Comcast subscriber, and think this is dirty pool. If anyone knows a solution to this, please let me know.

Share and share alike.
