alright, when i search for any files, they appear not as mediaplayer files for audio, but as if it doesnt know what to open them with. I can download them fine, but when i go to play them, a message pops up and says that limewire cannot open due to security reasons. i dont understand why when i search they dont show as media files, or why i cant play them. if nayone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks that helped me to know how to open the files, but i already knew how to do that. I just need to know if their is a way that i can change the security settings or something so that i can use the files directly from the lw library? even i cant change the security settings, there has to be some way that i can just be able to click play in the lw library to play the audio files.

i mean when i search for downloads they look like i dont have the problem to download them, like it is a broken file or something, but i can download them fine, and i can play them through my media player. But i cannot play them direclty from my limewire library. their has to be something that i can do to fix that.

Are you using the Limewire player? It isn't very good. I would suggest using your other media player.

I would suggest Windows media player or iTunes...both of these players can monitor your download folders and automatically add the songs you download to your library, plus there's a TON more options what you can do with your music, i.e. burn CDs, etc.

Now I'm thinking perhaps you don't have a default program specified for audio files.

Right-click on the files and select 'properties'...from there, you can specify which program should open that file type.
