I have discovered that files on my computer are being shared that are not in my shared folder and are copyright and could lead to legal issues if shared. Why is this happening? As an experiment, I have cleared my share folder and opted not to share anything and have put in the name and searched and it still comes up in the search window...i need to stop these from being shared asap

You can't search your own computer with LW. If you do a search and It shows a file you have, that means someone else is sharing the same file.

Click on the 'monitor tab' in Limewire and look in the window at the bottom to see what files you are sharing.
