everything works fine turbo charged conection and fast search results but downloads no faster than 2 kbps and that is seldom most times its 0 or 1. the brick is over the globe but it always has been and i use to get speeds up to 200 kbps.

As a test try d/loading a file from here: http://www.magnetmix.com/audio2.shtml.

You should get pretty fast d/load speeds. If you don't, that may mean your isp has started throttling p2p apps. You could call them and ask, though they might not say. Could be they only do it during peak hours, so try d/loading at different times of the day.

Could also be related to your firewall. You'd need to post your system details: System details - help us to help you.

i tryed downloading a song from the link provided and it did the same as the rest

Im getting the same problems as you too. Downloads fast from everywhere else on the net but limewire!!!

Also, try downloading a file from the magnetmix link in 6_pac's post & see what speeds you get.
