Okay...this is what I do. I find a file I'd like to d/l so I highlight it & click on the d/l button. That's when I get a popup saying "Limewire is unable to find a license for this file. Please note: Limewire cannot monitor or control the content of the Gnutella network. Please respect your copywrite laws." with three buttons; "Yes", "No" & "Cancel". If I click "Yes", the file will d/l but then I can't play it because I don't have a license. I'm not pirating anything, I'm a paid LimeWire member. How do I get around this problem?

Sounds like you might be downloading .wma files. If that's the case, have a read through this

Ummm can I just ask where you bought LW & how much you paid? LW basic is free & Pro costs $18.88 for 6 months of free updates & email support. The only official (safe) site for downloading either version is www.limewire.com

Buying Pro doesn't make it legal for you to download copyrighted files. Laws about this differ from country to country & you'd have to check your local laws to find out where you stand with downloading files. Some scammers do try to sell you LW based on the lie that once you pay for the app, everything magically becomes legal

I pd $18.88 for Pro for the 6 months of updates. I got it from LW itself so I'm pretty convident about the purchase.

I also checked to see if it were .wma I'm trying to d/l and it's not. It's mp3.
