Limewire Downloads dont start (wont even go into queue) Okay, so i installed limewire pro, and when i double click on the file i want to download, or i click it, and then select "download" it doesnt do anything, it wont evem go into the queue to even start downloading. I have reinstalled Windows XP, and then i installed Windows 2000 also, and neither work. No firewalls, except a router, it uesd to work, but i havent used the program in a long time. |

So you can't download ANYTHING... even if there are multiple copies of a file? I'm still not sure how LimeWire search works but I suspect the ultrapeers hold a cache of the file names of the PCs connected to that ultrapeer. If that PC disconnects, the cache might not be deleted right away and file names might still show up in a search. Again, that's just a guess. Perhaps a better forum is LW Tech Support: https://www.gnutellaforums.com/technical-support/ |
