********

Hi All

I am new to all this, so the answer to this question might be bleeding obvious. I tried to download ******** using Limewire. I only did this because the film has not been relaeased in Australia and the Oscars are next week. I downloaded 3 avi files (all 3 that the search turned up) and all of them are in Japanese without subtitles. Am I doing something completely stupid?

Geoff

Well if the film's not even in the cinemas in some countries yet, you're either going to get spam or a shitty cam version at best.

Always use Bitzi to check a movie file before download...if the file's been rated then you'll get some idea of content & quality. Also preview the file after about 10% download...saves wasting a whole download on a file that's not what you want!
How to use Bitzi

You're better off waiting til it's released on DVD...then there's a better chance of downloading a reasonable version;)

Thanks Birdy, but the movie HAS been released in other countries and I have no doubt that the downloads were from hosts in the US and elsewhere. I don't think the fact that the movie has not been released in Australia is relevant to the quality of the download. The quality was fine by the way, just a bit of a language problem.

One alternative is to put english at the end of the search title. eg: Title - english
