Question Need help! Songs in library gone!

I was just using my Limewire and, somehow, the songs I had in my library are gone. They are only in my playlist now and won't play. The message I get when I click on a song in my playlist is: "Limewire cannot play the file...the file cannot be found." I'm worried that I'll have to re-download hundreds of songs from scratch. Please tell me if there's a way to fix this. I checked under the different file folders and don't see them anywhere. Help!

Are you using Vista ??

Have you checked your shared folder outside of limewire ?? To do this click on one of your files in your limewrie library and click explore it will open your shared folder up....
What do you see ?? Do you see alot of zip files ??
If you do you have a virus...Have you run an AV scan??
What AV are you using ?? The only AV that I know of to get rid of this virus is AVG, it is free...So if you aren't running that AV the best thing to do is disable the one you have and download AVG, scan your computer, get rid of the virus and then you can unistall AVG and make your normal AV active again...

AVG download.....http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5

Default Checked my shared files

Thank you so much for your advice. Problem is, I'm not that computer savvy so I don't even know what Vista or AV are. I did what you told me to with my shred files outside of Limewire. I found the songs there through my Windows Media Player--problem is that when I click on a song, it turns orange and an exclamation mark pops up next to it (no message). It won't play.

Before I posted my message, I was deleting ONE song from my library. Next thing I knew everything was deleted from it. Arghhh!

Any tips for someone who doesn't speak your computer language? I'm pretty lost.

Thanks again for your help!

AV is your Antivirus program....

That means you have deleted all those files from your computer, so none of your songs will work now, their gone....

If you can get the drift of this thread you may be able to get them back...
