Default How do you pay for Pro

Three times my friend and I tried to buy pro. Over two different cards and three attempts all were rejected even though there were no problems with the cards or mistakes with the numbers.
What is going on. Don't you guys want to sell your product. We are still willing to buy if you can get your system working properly.

I recall some problems with overseas verifications, but will see if perhaps the biz person at LW will respond.

Oh--email addresses shouldn't be posted here.

Dbear27,

Pro works like a charm for heaps of people.
If you want help with your LW Pro, you could ask for it here

Where did you buy Pro from? The official site is www.limewire.com (just that some people buy from a scam site & then get all pissed-off because the official site won't acknowledge their emails).

Default I'm sure it does work for some

Thanks Birdy,

Yes, I assume it does work for a number of people, but my frustration with it has cast a rather large pale. I have enjoyed Limewire for years and when I upgrade to PRO I lose. It's rather bothersome because as I said I found it to be a blast and kept me out of my wife's hair...lol... I have been searching through this forum with the hopes of figuring it out but so far no luck. Hopefully I will find the yellowbrick road over the Brickwall soon.
Cheers

When you changed over to Pro, was it just an upgrade (ie the same version number that you'd been using when you had basic) or did you update to a newer version of LW as well?

It's a good idea to delete LW's preferences folder after up*******upgrading...give that a try, it won't hurt anything. You'll just have to go back through LW's options & reset things afterwards. See point 3 below for instructions. If you've used much older versions of LW in the past, you could have a folder in point 2's location as well...so check in both places.
Fixes for LimeWire

Double check your XP firewall config, just to make sure nothing's changed.
Firewall setup

Your router has an internal firewall. If the router supports UPnP, make sure it's enabled & then use the UPnP option within LW's tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Apply > ok. Give it 15 mins & then see if the brick wall is gone.

If that doesn't do the trick, it's time to port forward. Use the instructions here
http://www.portforward.com/english/r...4/Limewire.htm

Don't forget to set up a static IP address first...otherwise port forwarding won't work
Also, the port number forwarded, number of LW's listening port & the number in the 'manual port forward' box all must be the same.

Sometimes changing to a new version can give you firewall probelms where there weren't any before
