trash cans

Starting a month or so ago, the vast majority of files I get through a search have a trash can displayed next to them. I'd say 95%.... in particular....videos.

Just for kicks I downloaded one and sure enough.... it wouldn't play due to codec problems.

The reason I'm posting this is I'm wondering if my problem may be self induced. To my knowledge, I haven't made any changes to Limewire or my playback software.

Any help would be appreciated.

What type of files are they? What type is the one you downloaded?

If it wouldn't play because of codec issues, I would suspect that your problem is specific to you...I would suggest a program called AVICodec (free)...just drag and drop your video files and it will tell you what codecs you need, whether you have them, and it even has links to where you can get them if you don't have them.

You can reset your junk filter in Limewire. I don't have LW open now, but there should be an option somewhere in...you guessed it :p ...'options' to 'reset training data' or something like that.

Hope this helps
