Ok so Limewire spam has been around a few years now (about 6 years ago it was spotless....). But now it is really out of control and crushing Peer to Peer. The suggestions on combating spam on this forum no longer work since the spam is all auto generated even when re phrasing the search by taking the end letters of and such. Say if i put a popular movie title in search...any...that movie title will come up in MOV format with about 700 hits on each file and this results in the search being stopped....

Junk filter is useless: It just puts all the real files as Junk! even when you tell limewire they ain't junk. but when you do this it triggers those nasty 1,140 kb sized MOV files to Exploded in your search and then halt it!!

Blocking Hosts: Nope just prevents real files from coming through all together.

So the future of spam preventing looks rather...Helpless. UNLESS there is a way to stop certain file types coming in like an adult filter which stops all MOV files, MP4 files ect...

Please reply and say something positive like..."Don't worry the magic spam zapper is a super cool virus which gets in spam servers and destroys them and then sets the on fire where everyone in the building burning for being spam tards!"
