Exclamation Music NOT going onto iPod

Hi there,

I apologise first off, I'm new to this Limewire thing!

I've downloaded some songs off Limewire, and they are stored in a folder on my iTunes called "Mac's Limewire Tunes" (this did it automatically - i didn't make the folder). The only problem is, I can't get the songs onto my main iTunes library, and therefore onto my iPod. I also can't play the songs, as they will only play in Windows Media Player.

Please help!

Mac.

That 'yourname LimeWire Tunes' within iTunes is just a playlist...you won't be able to add to your iTunes library from that

Go to your LW library. Click on Saved Files then click Explore...your saved folder (where your downloads live) will open. Add to iTunes from this folder.

Thanks, Birdy, but I'm still having problems. How do you send the downloaded music to a saved folder? When I download music, it just seems to disappear, and I can't find it. Also, a lot of the music says it "needs more sources". What's that all about?
Also, when I look at my iTunes, along the bottom is the usage bar, which tells me how much space i've used. It's got 192.2MB of music, and 75.5MB of "other". Could the "other" be the songs I downloaded. If they are, where have they gone?

When you download, things are automatically saved. The default location for Windows is C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Shared. In LW tools > options > saving will show you the location of your saved folder & that's where your downloads will be (unless you've accidentally deleted things from LW's library).

Did you go to the LW library & explore to open your saved folder?
