Default Choosing file types

I was downloading songs and all of a sudden when I do searches, I get WMA files instead of MP3 files.
Amybody know how to keep MP3's as the default file type?

Smile Getting rid of wma files

Unless you want the wma files go to "tools-options-filters-keywords" and type in .wma (yes, you need the period) then click "add" You will no longer down load wma files. If you want to download them later, simply highlight .wma and click "remove" Good luck...happy downloading!

I'm still having that problem. In the column for ICON, the windows media file icon keeps coming up. I am no longer getting other MP3 or MP4 files. All of the files are WMA files

The icon just refers to the player you have set for that type of file. It doesn't have a bearing on your search results. Try putting .mp4 at the end of the file your searching for. Example: "Mary Had a Little Lamb .mp4". See if that helps.

If it shows a WMP icon, it doesn't mean it's a .wma. Look under the "Type" column to see what type of a file it is.
