Download starting, then going to 0. Well it pretty much explains itself in the title, anyways. I start off downloads often, and they work great - but then suddently after like 2 mins they all go to 0, and stay there - but still say "Downloading".. The weird part is, if I restart the program, it will start downloading again... Someone help? |
Don't know. You don't give much information. Could be your isp. Could be fake files. Post your details and we'll try to help: System details - help us to help you. |
It's with every file I try to download. Even if I pause it, and restart it - it will start downloading for 2 min, and then go to 0 again. 1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) - Windows XP 2. What firewalls you have? Kaspersky AntiVirus Firewall 3. How much ram? 1GB Ram 4. Hard Disk space available? 160GB 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Broadband 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Motorola 7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? House. 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. LimeWire standard. 9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? TDC 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Your test worked! 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No. 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. I've never tried this before, and i've used Limewire for a while. 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? No brick wall. |
Sounds like fake files to me. As a test try d/loading a file from here: http://www.magnetmix.com/audio2.shtml If it goes to "needs more sources" right click the file and tell it to find more sources. Sometimes they help getting started. If the file d/loads fine then you've probably been trying bad files. If the file doesn't d/load properly, it could mean your isp is traffic shaping p2p programs. Post back your results. |
