Default Has Anyone Figured This Out Indefinitely Yet?

I've read a ton of maybe this and maybe that, but has anyone found out exactly what it is that is causing the problem and how to fix it, yet?
It appears as it the entire Limewire community is being affected. If there is a way to fix this (ie. changing IP addys, deleting hosts, disconnecting and reconnecting with certain setting checked, etc. etc. etc.) please explain in a way that some of the people lacking computer savvy can understand. And if there isn't a way to fix this yet, please, we beg you, keep trying.
Sincerely,
Troy

P.S. If anyone else is having the "connected but no search results" problem, or the "brick wall over your blue world" problem, please add your name and your exact experience to this thread!

The reason for there not being one exact fix for these problems is because everybody has a different set up...What works for one may not work for another, so we troubleshoot our way through the problems and do the best we can...
We don't get paid for the help we give, we are just volunteers that learn with each and every new problem that arises...

Yes, I am aware that you don't get paid for this, however, I left my information already and the only answer I got was from a regular who said, "Hope it's not a bug. Peace."
That to me isn't offering help. I had left all the pertinent information as I'm going to do again:

1. OS version? XP
2. What firewalls you have? Spysweeper with Antivirus
3. How much ram? 1gb
4. Hard Disk space available? 57gb
5. Connection type? LAN Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? No name router
7. Where are you trying to connect from? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? 4.12.6
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Charter Cable
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It says, "Your test worked."
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem, experienced user
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes

There you go. Do you see anything that could be causing the mishap?
Also, do you have any idea who these bogus hosts are and how they're all of the sudden coming out of the woodwork?

Thank you kindly,
Troy

With the bogus hosts who knows maybe another RIAA sabotage attempt...
Just dump the current Ultrapeers you have and let LW search for some more...

As for the firewall if you have configured your's correctly and have made LW an acception, it might mean you have a Nat firewall in your modem/router, so you will have to give some info about the make and model number for it, so I can check if it's listed...

Troy You Said
"All of the sudden, I'm connected (people are downloading from me), but I've got a brick wall over my earth at the bottom of the page. What's with that?"

To that I replied "Hope its just a bug" Cos YOU implied Yuo didnt have a real big prob.

THEN I GAVE YOU THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Atreyuu Hi.
You can turn Webroot back on, I personally use this security & they have never
interfered with L/W. When you upgrade L/W, go to webroot firewall permissions
and change L/W to always ask, Start L/W and it will reapply for permissions,
Give full permissions, Don't forget to untick the box, always ask for this prog.

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers ?

Also I would ring Charter & ask if they are shaping your connection, or if they have any added firewall.
Peace.

Why do I even bother with *** wipes like you, You ungrateful Turd So Piiissssss ooofffff

Dear mickjapa108,
My sincerest apologies. Your belated response after saying "Hope its just a bug" coupled with this being my first time here and not knowing that you are truly a very helpful person and not a spammer gave me the inclination to ASSUME. But the only one who was an *** here was me. So, again, I apologize wholeheartedly. Rather, I would like to thank you for the help you provided.

If you are still willing to listen, I just want to let you and others know that I have found that the problem is simply a sudden overwhelming infiltration of bogus hosts, these are the ones I've found so far (you may want to add them to you host filter):

204.11.219.225
204.11.219.226
204.11.219.227
204.11.219.229
204.11.219.231

mickjapa108, you have been very helpful and all your work is much appreciated, I'm sure. Take care, and again, my deepest apologies.

Troy (Atreyuu2003)
PEACE

Troy Hi.
Sorry Troy I was a bit over the top, Just having a bad hair day
The reason for the belated response, I have sometimes 10 or 15 threads running
at the same time, & I try to answer them all in order, Im in England so there can
be a time zone thing also.
Thank you so much for taking the time to report those IP addresses.
There is a Bearshare Hostiles list that now works with L/W should be posted
Here. click on link.
http://www.technutopia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=240
That will have some of bogus IP adds in it.
Again, Sorry & thanks in the same breath,
Peace.
