Unhappy obtaining license to view file(s)?

Hey All,

I'm a newbie here, so hope I'm not breaking any rules or posting in the wrong place. I did a search under "downloading licenses", and was unable to find an answer. While doing file searches, when I right-click "view license", which shows up on certain files, I get a dialogue box saying "a license may be required to open or view this file". Where would I be able to obtain such a license? Can anybody help me here? Thank you in advance.

Hi Buddy.
It could be the License warning thing.
Just have a look,
Go, Tools/Options/Searching/Basic, it says, "Show License Warning"
Untick the box if you don't want to filter out copyright Files in search results.

This option is enabled at setup, The choice is your decision.
Do a test to see if search results improve.
You can reverse this change at any time, the choice is yours.

P.S. A file that requires a license, is protected so if you obtain a license, that file cannot be shared.
So don't put those files in your shared folder.
That will cause more frustration to others as they play only silence.

Peace.

Hey Mickjapa,

Thanks for your reply, although I may have been misunderstood here. I don't have a problem with the license warning thing ( I took care of that a long time ago). What I was saying was that sometimes when I'm doing a search, I notice an icon in the "license" column beside some files in the search box. When I right click on that file, I select "show license", and a dialogue box comes up saying "a license may be required to view this file" I was wondering how I could obtain a license, although I wasn't aware of the fact that these files couldn't be shared (thanks for the tip on that one).

Sounds like it's really not worth the trouble; I don't want to have to go through the rigamarole of segregating a file every time this comes up, and don't want to annoy any other users with "silent" files. Thanks anyway for the info mick. Rock on!!
