hi
i have the same problem and i have verizon too. When im actually able to get the file to download (mostly it either takes forever or never begins to download because almost every file i try to download it will either say needs more sources or finding 300 sources and then say awaiting sources)

I bought limewire pro, thinking it would be beter than basic but nope, same thing.

Oh and i have the turbo speed connection and the download speed at the max i have seen so far is line 200 kbs and on averge like 20 or mabey a little less kbs, actuall say it say 8kbs and it would have taken like 16 days to download, its ridiculous. Even for a simple song. I changed the firewall setting in my control panel to allow limewire but ton lime wire it still shows that picture of a firewall.

I thought it was a problem with the 4.13 beta so i uninstalled it and installed 4.12 but now when i open up lime wire its changes the splash screen from the 4.12 to the beta version, which i find odd when i thought i deleted everything from lime wire before installing 4.12

my pc spec (off the top of my head, lol)
um..
amd 64 athlon 3500+
windows vista home premium
1 gb ram
512 mb ati x1800xt
audigy 4 sound blaster
..thats all i can remember now, let me know if you need any more info.

Hi Hunter.

Once you have downloaded & used 4.13, you will have to do a search on your computer and delete all Limewire files including Prefetch files, Then you can use
an older version again.

Follow these instructions exactly.
So, you need to Go, Start/All Programs/LimeWire n Uninstall all L/W versions.
Do Not Uninstall From Change or Remove Programs.
Re BOOT Your computer NOW.

Now Go to, Start/Search/click on all files n folders/more advanced options/
& make sure, case sensitive, is not ticked. (all other boxes should be ticked)
Now!!, Put limewire in box, (all or part of file name) & click search.
Delete everything found, including Prefetch folder, (I mean everything)

Re BOOT Your computer NOW.

Now!! Use this link to download latest L/W version using the off line installer
LimeWire
If you need help, Shout, If it fixed your problem or not, Feedback helps others.
Peace

It could be the License warning thing.
Just have a look,
Go, Tools/Options/Searching/Basic, it says, "Show License Warning"
Untick the box if you don't want to filter out copyright Files in search results.

This option is enabled at setup, The choice is your decision.
Do a test to see if search results improve.
You can reverse this change at any time, the choice is yours.

P.S. A file that requires a license, is protected so if you obtain a license, that file cannot be shared.
So don't put those files in your shared folder.
That will cause more frustration to others as they play only silence.

Peace.
