Problem With Downloading-Firewalls

Hi there, I just joined here.

I have had LimeWire for several years, and before this year I was using it on the crappy dial up modem and it worked fine.

Now I have Verizon high speed DSL and for some stupid reason my Limewire says it's behind a firewall, but, my computer doesn't even have a firewall to my knowledge. I don't have any anti virus programs or nothing. But it still displays a globe with a brick wall in front.

And everytime I try to download a song that has 4-star results, if there's a large number of people who have the file, it will not download it. I can only download the junky files that only 1 or 2 people have. Why is this? I have no idea what to do about this, how to get it off the firewall thing and why I can't download 90% of the stuff I try to download. Alot of them are more popular or new songs. Would that have something to do with it?

Here is my system info, to the best of my knowledge.

1. what OS version? Windows XP Home Edition, SP1
2. What firewalls you have ? None to my knowledge.
3. How much ram ? 256
4. Hard Disk space available 7 GB
5. Connection type (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) ? Broadband/DSL

10. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider) ? Verizon
11. Do this test click here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ should say 'Your test worked!. What happens ? Says "Your Test Worked"
12. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No
13. Is this your 1st try at LW, or is this a new problem with an experienced user.? New problem with experienced user
14. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface ? Yes
15. Have you given full permissions for LimeWire to pass through your Firewall ? I don't have a firewall!
16. XP users, Please state XP firewall on or off.? I have the very first XP set of computers that came out & still use SP1. I don't even think it has the windows firewall!
17. In Start & remove Programs, Is this update Installed, "Security Update for Windows XP (KB931261)" ? Nope
If Windows Updates are not seen Tick the box at top of page, (show updates)
18. Are you using Manual Port faward OR UPnP ? I don't know. I can't find the options on my computer. On my LimeWire I have the UPnP selected.

You have a Nat Firewall in your router...
These are the instructions for you to Port Forward...

This one is for the 327W
Port Forwarding for the Westell Versalink 327W

This is for the -327W (I wasn't sure which one you had in case you left the - out ;))
Port Forwarding for the Westell Versalink 327W

The files that you are having trouble with would be fake files...
This thread will explain to you what they are and how to avoid them...
