limewire does not put downloads into download window

I have developed a fault with my limewire, installed it for the first time on my laptop and it installed correctly. I can search the results fine, but when ever i try and double click the file i want to download it does nothing.

Normally it should then move you into the download window so you can check your file progress, but mine doesnt even get that far, no matter what you double click, or right click and select save as etc, it just sits there and doesnt even put anything in the download section

What am i doing wrong, the download path is set correctly so it should work!!
