Default Extremely Slow Downloads

Hi, I just downloaded Limewire Pro after switching my broadband ISP to 'BT Option 3' and I'm getting max speeds of 15KB/s. It's extremely frustrating because i used to get speeds of 160KB/s + whilst with Orange broadband. Although I did get 22KB/s when downloading a video clip from magnetmix.com.

My specs-

1. OS version? Windows XP SP2

2. What firewalls you have? McAffee

3. How much ram? 512MB

4. Hard Disk space available? 100GB

5. Connection type? BT Option 3 Broadband 8MB

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? BT Home Hub

7. Where are you trying to connect from? Home network

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? 4.12.11 Pro

9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)?BT

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: 'Your test worked!'. It worked

11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? NO

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.Benn using limewire for ages, recent problem

13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? YES

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled, I'm not port forwarding as far as i know

Any and all help appreciated.

Firstly I will give you this link as BT are known for shaping your connection at peak times...

Also here are your instructions for Port Forwarding, this should get rid of the brick wall you are seeing...

I'm port forwarding now and the wall is gone. But I've still tried downloading at non-peak times and my max speed is 16KB/s....

Thanks for trying, but any more ideas.
