![]() I have used limewire for a little over year now, and I had no problems until about 3 weeks ago. I have been watching the forums and trying various suggestions to try to remedy my problem. I have seen many similar accounts, but none exactly as I'm experiencing. I connect to the network with a "turbo connection"; I am able to search, yet when I attempt to download I get a mere 2-4 kb/s. I have tried all of the suggestions that I have found; port forwarding, delete preference folder, roll back java, delete-reinstall, browse connections to be sure they are legit, etc., etc.,..........none of this has worked. Any further ideas would be greatly appreciated, thank you. 1. Windows X SP2 2. Windows only, but it is always disabled 3. 1 Gig 4. 34 Gigs 5. ![]() Try d/loading a file from this site: + MagnetMix.com +: The Source for Good Content. Just click the d/load link and it'll send the file to LW. You should get decent d/load speeds. If not that could mean that your isp is shaping your bandwidth. Try d/ling a couple and post what speeds you get. Sometimes it takes a little before the file starts d/ling, so give it a few minutes to get going. If you haven't already, you could try portforwarding your router: Port Forwarding for the Netgear WGT624v3

![]() I tried the magnetmix downloads and still only clocked a whopping 2-3 kb/s. As for assigning static IP's that has already been done I do believe. Thanks for the advice guys, I'll just try to be patient and keep screwing with it. |
