why cant i access my downloads?
 

im able to download stuff but before it downloads it says "limewire is unable to find a license for this file. download anyways?" and it will download but then i cant do anything with the stuff i download.

What kind of files are you trying to download?

any kind of file it says that.

I don't see where it says that. Anyway, you download the file. What then? You click on the file and nothing happens?

it says that there's virus with it or something like that. like for example i downloaded a zip file and when i tried to unzipp it it came up with a security warning. dont i have to do something with filtering or something like that?

Most of the programs available with Limewire are crap. Half are infected (hence the security warning). Half are freeware or shareware.

You're not trying to launch the program from within Limewire, are you? That will give you a security warning as well.

If you choose to download programs, make sure you scan them before you open them. Avoid .exe files for sure.

P.S. Keep a close eye on the file size. Does it look appropriate for the program you want? Avoid programs with small sizes.
