Red face Media files dont show

For some reason on my laptop the limewire doesnt show media player files available for download it only shows quick player files so my options are quite small. I had them on my other computer - is there somewhere to can change the settings to let me see media player files also????

The icon that is shown by files available for download represents the default player for that file type. What you want to look at is the 'type' of file.

Try this: right-click a video file (that you already have), select properties, click 'change' to select a new default player for that file type.

Good Luck

Dan

Thanks for the advice but that only works on files i have already downloaded - the problem is with the files showing when I do a search i know there should be 1000s available to download but i only get say 50 because it doesnt show any media player files - I know this is the case because it worked fine on my other computer but there is obviously some sort of settings difference on here and after hours of search i still have no idea.
