4+ hours to download a song Running LimeWire Pro (new user) with Windows XP Home Edition, Cable connection. Good connection between excellent and turbo charged, no firewall symbol displayed as interfering... have used 360 Share Pro before. Can someone assist me in my setup to see why the serious delays? :w00t: Downloading time ranging from 0-8 kbs. |
It could be an ISP issue...Try downloading a magnetmix file and let us know what your speeds are... + MagnetMix.com +: The Source for Good Content Also could you supply these details please... http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...-you-post.html |

I tried deleting my Java and re-installing Version 5-11 like suggested on other threads... now have Java 1.5.0_11 No change in downloading speed... Turbo Connection @ 1KB/s |
Downloading 4-star 46 copies mp3 6,968 KB T3 or Higher Bitrate 224 beginning at 10:00 am I have done absolutely everything that I have read on the threads... nothing seems to be helping. I've added ultrapeers to my connections, I have changed gnutella.net to gnutella.old, I have removed Java version and re-installed the JRE 5-11 offline.... is there something from 360 share that may be causing my interference?? my song that was downloading at 10:00 am is now at 21% complete with 10 hosts (50 minutes). |
Your the second person that has posted the exact same problem and you are both with Persona Canada, which would lead me to think that Persona have maybe put in place p2p shaping... This is what I found in their FUP... Customers shall comply with the bandwidth, data storage and other limitations associated with their Service plan, as amended from time to time by Persona at its sole discretion. Business Customers and other special accounts can review the current bandwidth, data storage and other limitations related to their account by contacting Persona sales and support personnel at any time. Although Persona has no obligation to monitor the Service and/or the network, Persona reserves the right to monitor bandwidth, usage, and content from time to time to operate the Service; to identify violations of this Policy; and/or to protect the network and Persona Customers. Maybe you could give them a ring and see what your usage plan is... |
