I am having problems viewing downloads from limewire into windows media player it always says media player cannot play this file and that the file may be corrupt or not formatted is there something i am not doing? and is there something I can do
i am running windows 2000 so is that the problem I have used it before so what is the problem now please help if you can anybody!!!!

My problem is very similer but not quite the same, WMP will play the sound but the videos I download won't show pictures.

Try these codecs...
For XP this codec pac is very good
Download XP Codec Pack 2.0.8 - XP Codec Pack is one of the most complete codec pack
Or for Vista this pac
Vista Codec Package v4.4.7 Beta 4a (freeware)

I downloaded the VLC media player and i get only text no videos I am getting source code for each download... how do I get to see the pictures and videos that have downloaded???
