HelpWithLimeWire is flying high
Default I am not able to DL - Please Help

Hi, this is my first post.

Now to address my problem, Limewire isn't working for me. I have downloaded it maybe 5-8 times in the last 2 years and all those times it has failed. I click to download ANYTHING and nothing happens. I am not extremly technically knowledgeable, but and not an idiot. I have turned off my firewall, tried soo many different things but nothing happens. All 4 green bars are there but nothing. If anyone is able to help me all I can say is that they will be my F**King hero! Please Help. Morpeus no longer works and I have no way of downloading music. Kazza seemed to have the same problem as LimeWire.

Please Help me, it would be greatly appriated.
Regards, Rylan

No, this does not help.. sadly it doesn't. I just want to add I am able to search for items and everything else seems to work fine. I just physically cannot get it to the stage where it starts to download. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am willing to try anything.

So are files moving into the download pane, but sitting 'connecting' for ages & then getting stuck needing sources forever?

Alright, try this: Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location). Don't forget to show hidden files & folders, so that you can see the folder within Application Data if it's there.
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.

Are you downloading your LW installers from Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download «
Has it ever worked in the past??
