![]() When i go to download something i get the all the hosts i can but nothing actually downloads, It all started when my dad enabled the wireless on the router. There is no options that i can find in the firewall options on the router to allow specific programmes through and it has permission from my firewall to access the internet. Could someone please tell me how to make it work. Any help will be appreciated ~Stephen |

Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Netgear no idea about the rest ^_^ 7. Where are you trying to connect from? Home 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? Limewire 4.12.15 java 1.6.0_01 9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? TalkTalk 10. Do this simple test for us. Test Worked! 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. Sharing with another computer 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? ![]() You're not seeing the firewall icon, which means that there's not a problem with your software firewall or with your router. What happens when you try to download something?? Do the files move into the download pane? Do they sit connecting for ages & then get stuck needing sources forever? Do they connect ok but then show 0 KB/s for the download speed? Sorry, but Talk Talk customers have a lot of problems. Have a look at these threads below. If you use the forum search to look for Talk Talk, you'll probably find more threads ![]() Is that it then, TalkTalk ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire 1-3k downloads ISPs that throttle p2p - The Scream! You could try changing ports but there's no guarantee that it's going to help you. In LW tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Change LW's listening port to 64049 (or something in the range of 49152 - 65535) > Apply > ok. |
