![]() The number of uploads has finally picked back up again, since installing the Beta version. I'm seeing probably 2.5 - 3k uploads a day. I was watching the upload screen, and noticed this, especially with large files: the status bar will run up to 100%, then back off a few percentage points, and keep on uploading. Anyone have any idea what BS is doing when it does that? Also (a follow up question), is there a list of what the response codes mean? Yes, it is sort of gee-whiz information, but it would be interesting to know... Cheers Nick |

![]() You know you're posting in the Bearshare area of the forum? You might try reposting in the proper forum, in the future. As for your hard drive space issue, there should have been no need to reinstall Limewire on a new drive. You can specify any drive, even across a LAN (provided it stays connected) to save your downloads to. From Limewire, go to TOOLS, then open OPTIONS. At the top of the list, click on SAVING, and pick your drive/folder to save your downloads to. There is no need to create an "incomplete" folder - Limewire will do that for you. If your downloads still aren't happening, then the issue is likely connection related, rather than a hard disk problem. Hope this helps. Cheers, Nick |

![]() of course that dillhole, IMHO, knew where he posted... the 100% phenomenon you describe is most likely a situation where you are one of multiple sources for the user uploading from you...so it says 100%, and that's just meaning he/she/it has completed that part of his upload from you, and he/she/it again gets more of the file from you until they finally complete the whole thing in parts from various users...

![]() Thanks... that makes sense. I most often see it happen with large video files, and I know those are prone to swarming, since they generally take so long. I've actually stopped sharing much of the video stuff, since the uploads take so long to complete, they jam up all the upload slots (I allow 10 at a time, with a 2mbps UL connection). Still, I'm seeing around 10gb of upload activity a day... not sure if that's high or low, it just is what it is. Cheers Nick |
