It sounds a bit suss doesn't it...
Try this...
Go to your connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it...
Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more...

If the same IP numbers keep re-appearing add them to your filter, to find this go to Tools > Options > Filters and select the Host Filter and add those IP's into it and select apply..

i have had this same problem, and mine was a simple solution. go to tools, options, then downloads, and look at the max number of downloads. if it says 0 or a very low number, try switching it to 5 or 10.

My problem is similar yet different. Things I've tried to download without success ( some have queued for weeks! ) are now cluttering up the downloads field / space. Try as I may I can not delete those old failed downloads. The list just keeps getting longer and longer. Any idea about how I can clear this mess would be very welcome.

Angry They're still there..!!

Thanks FOTH... tried as you suggested. I deleted the files both collectively and individually... closed LimeWire between each attempt but on reopening found all those unwanted unsuccessful download files still there cluttering up the download space. Any further suggestions greatly appreciated.

Regards,
gazzbe

Ok,...one more try...:

Go to ...C:\Documents and Settings\<your.computer.name>\ and look for the folder Incomplete. Delete all files in there (and I mean ALL !!) while LW is completely closed (i.e. also in the system tray).

Cheers

Go LW>Tools>Options>Downloads and check how many simultaneous downloads you have permitted. If the number is at "1" then change it to a reasonable number considering your over-all internet speed.

Cheers
