Gnutella Forums - I've tried everything! (not downloading at all)

hey, i'm pretty new, so this may be easily sorted out...

I've only had limewire for a few days (version 4.14.5) and it's not letting me download anything. I've tried the licencing, i've tried adding IP adresses, connections tab stuff...but to no avail.

The only thing i can think is wrong is limewire isn't connected to the internet, so is unable to download. I did have a pop-up telling me that something-something-something progative (i think it was that word, it deffiantely started with "P")....something to do with not being able to download anything etc.

It told me what to do, something to do with the settings (i think)....but i've completely forgotten what it said! :S

any help would be much appriciated.

ALLLLSOOO, i seem to have very low connection, just one green bar, the rest are red....if that means anything? I'm not using wireless connection, so shudn't my connection be full?? :S
