Ugh!!!! (Fake results) I am having problems that are really getting frustrating. This is happening more frequently lately than ever before. I try to download a song, and it sits there saying "connecting" and then goes to "needs more sources". I have tried downloading the song that says 60 people have it, 50, 40, 30, 20, 11, 2, and single users. Not one will let me download. The first song this happened with, I tried downloading it from 33 different sources (each source having anywhere from 2 to 120 people having the same version of the song). Not one downloaded. With the second song I tried, I tried 45 different times (each time I try, the song says it has anywhere from 100+ users down to 2 users with that exact title). Also, even different versions of the song, such as mp3, mp4, wma, and none even begin to download. Now this latest song, 64 different times! I guess the easiest way to explain: Lets say I want a song called "Impossible download" by john doe, So I click on each one of these: 267 Impossible download - John Doe mp3 4464 KB T3 or Higher 128 132 (8) Impossible download_John Doe mp4 4362 KB T3 or Higher 128 126 John Doe - Impossible download mp3 6543 KB T1 160 and all the way down to: 23 Track 8 Impossible download - John Doe mp3 4762 KB T3 or Higher 128 2 08 - Impossible download - Doe wma 5366 KB Cable/DSL 128 impossible_download - john doe mp3 4773 KB T1 128 Impossible Download (John Doe) mp3 5184 KB Cable/DSL 128 and every one of the titles in between (not counting the junk that isn't related). All the same song, just slight differences in the title, size bitrate etc. I clicked on every one of them--64 different times (each the same song, with maybe slightly different file size, different bitrate, etc). Not one single one lets me download it. Not one. If all these people have this song, from 260+ users at most, down to 2 users, and even individual people for many of the ones I attempted....then WHY can't I download a single one of them? Not one. I can download other songs by an artist with no problem, just not the one I want. This keeps happening. WHY??? |

No, these are not fake results. I can recognize 95% of the fake results. These are real, but they won't download. I've talked to several people who DID download the same ones that I tried. They were able to do it on their computer at the very same time that they hung on mine. |

Frustrating, but NOT fake result problem I guess I didn't explain well enough in my last post. I am having problems that are really getting frustrating. This is happening more frequently lately than ever before. I try to download a song, and it sits there saying "connecting" and then goes to "needs more sources". I have tried downloading the song that says 60 people have it, 50, 40, 30, 20, 11, 2, and single users. Not one will let me download. Also, even different versions of the song, such as mp3, mp4, wma, and none even begin to download. Now this latest song, 64 different times from 64 different "people"...although many I click on say that 50 people have it, or 23, or 3 or 2 or individual users! I have tried them ALL (except the fake ones...those are obvious, and I don't try them). I guess the easiest way to explain: Lets say I want a song called "Impossible Download" by John Doe, So I click on each one of these: 267 Impossible download - John Doe mp3 4464 KB T3 or Higher 128 132 (8) Impossible download_John Doe mp4 4362 KB T3 or Higher 128 126 John Doe - Impossible download mp3 6543 KB T1 160 and all the way down to: 23 Track 8 Impossible download - John Doe mp3 4762 KB T3 or Higher 128 2 08 - Impossible download - Doe wma 5366 KB Cable/DSL 128 impossible_download - john doe mp3 4773 KB T1 128 Impossible Download (John Doe) mp3 5184 KB Cable/DSL 128 and all of the titles in between (not counting the junk that isn't related...I don't click those). All the same song, just slight differences in the title, size bitrate etc. But they are not the fake titles, they are real. I've talked to several people and asked them to try this song, and they have clicked on the same ones that I've clicked on, and it DOES download for them. Just not for me. WHY??? I am NOT trying the fakes or junk. Merged. Try changing up your searches. Instead of searching for the full title just search for one or two words from the title and add the last name of the artist. A lot of it is just trial and error. There's no sure way of knowing if a file is fake or not. Just keep searching and change the keywords in your search. Fake files can be a real problem. Try searching at different times of the day, new hosts are always logging on and off so what you can't find now you may find later. Try the suggestions in this thread: Problems with the search How to find music (also tips for video)

Yes, I know exactly w hat you're talking about... it says it has an x ammount of peers on the network and all you get is a 'connecting..." when trying to download and will not continue from 'connecting...' Firewall's off obviously, on mine, my settings are okay, is there a limit on how many fileshares can be on one link? Seriously, I do wonder what is going on there with that. Anyone know? I knowk they're not fake as they are normal files. They are connected to hosts I can browse their files. |

Well Katz You've said that most of your searches are not fake, I have found that anything that says it has more than 20 or so sources tend to be fake. So now I don't try to download from anything that I consider to have an excessive number or sources. Although I don't use Bitzy other forum members think that it is great, I suggest you try it.
