Have you ever been able to download files? There are heaps of fake files throughout the network & these typically have lots of sources but will sit connecting for ages & then get stuck needing sources forever. Check out the threads below for info & tips (make sure to use Bitzi to check files before download).

How to find music

If absolutely every file needs more sources (even old songs with a single modem source), try this: Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.

Have you tried downloading a file with a single modem source? What happens then?

Deleting the preferences folder has been a fix for those people who suddenly find that literally everything they try to download needs more sources. If you're going to delete the prefs folder, don't forget to look for one in the new location of C:\Document and settings\your username\Application Data\LimeWire (hidden by default). The .limewire folder is the old prefs location, for LW versions older than 4.9.34.

Yea it seems that only 2 different files would not d/l. I tried multiple sources and names for the files. Its just hard to imagine that all of them were fakes. After trying too d/l the file from alot of different sources I tried to d/l another one file and it was doin the same thing(connecting 99host tried). Then later on I tried a different file and it worked. I must of been a coincidence that both were bad files back to back. Thank you for your response Birdy!
