downloading problem

The problem is that i can't download some files on lime-wire
some files with the same name do work but others even with multiple sources (like over 170) won't connect :(
lime-wire tries every host to connect but it doesn't succeed in it.

any suggestions ?

i seem to be having the same problem. don't waste your time trying to e-mail limewire, i haven't heard a word from them.

i feel with you

i also had the same trouble and it was not only, that no one helped me, they also deleted my first posting about it. must be some sort of conspiracy:w00t:

I found that with 100s of hosts is not good so I tried less hosts like 8 or 10 more or less!

finally some peolpe that have the same problem like me, maybe the ultra-peer servers cause the trouble they won't let you connect to the other hosts. and michwayne is right more or less, i searched again for the same file but a little less specific and i found more other files and mine. When i try to download it then it works but i hate songs @ 128 kbps :( so when i search for something i want good quality :p 320 kps :super:

So this is why when I click a file that claims to have lots of hosts, nothing happens it tries connecting to every host, then doesnt work? damn that is annoying lol...especially when there is only a few real ones but you get hundreds of fake ones, its impossible to tell. has this just started happening recently? it seems that only recently ive been noticing it so just wondering

Unfortunatley it's been happening for ages now...The fake files get place on the network by the RIAA and the MPIAA...

Yep you can use the Gnutella magnet link, if you click on it, it will go directly to limewire and search for the hosts with that file...;)

thanks now at least we know what the problem is. but the virusses that they release on the network are easy to recognise, here's a tip DON'T DOWNLOAD FILES THAT ARE SMALLER THAN ABOUT 1 MB if it's 100 kbs than it's sure that it's a virus. :nono:

i also have another problem and this only happens when i'm downloading video's every time a search 4 something (no matter what) one video keep apearing: < "the name you searched 4" cute girl has orgasm on webcam >
this is also something strange

Try adding the word orgasm or webcam to your keyword filter...;)

Here's a good list to keep all the rubbish out...

How to add words to the filter
