![]() Recently upgraded my Limewire to the latest free version. Wish I hadn't done it. I can connect to the network and search. Just can't download anything. Running Windows XP. Uninstalled and reinstalled Limewire several times. Rebooted the box a few times. Tried shutting the Zone Alarm firewall off. Set a static IP address and tried configuring for port forwarding. Called my ISP to see if they're filtering (they're not). Think I may be done fighting Limewire. Wonder if the BearShare client works any better? |

![]() Check and see if you have the lisence warning ticked... Go to Tools > options > Searcing > Lisence Warning and make sure the box is not ticked and select apply... If that does not help try this... Go to your connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it... Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more... If that doesn't help, could you supply these details please... http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...-you-post.html

![]() Sometimes we get so lost in the complex stuff that we forget about some of the basics. I got lost and you brought me back to reality - thanks! The issue turned out to be the hosts. As soon as I cleared the initial hosts and let Limewire find new ones, everything was fine (in a default config, no less). Thanks for "roping me in". |
