Default Disk problem?

All the downloaded files from my Limewire goes to a USB hard drive, so it doesn't slow down my computer. I have not encountered a problem since using my usb hard drive, which is about 6 months. But now every time I'm downloading a file it always says "Disk Problem". My hard drive still has 218 GB of free space and I can still play all the music I downloaded before. What's the problem?

Have you tried defragmenting the usb drive? The disk problem's a weird one & sad to say but some people have never been able to fix it Sorry, but downloading to an external drive was what fixed it for me (even though I had heaps of space left on my C drive)

Have a look at the thread below...there are more links to follow within that, one of them might help you??

OK I have had a heck of a time with this, I was only able to download to an external myself. But I didn't give up. I found a file within the limeWire folder in program files called .NetworkShare. I selected it as my share file and it is working fine. I really hope that this helps anyone who encounters this problem.

Just remember that if your shared folder's within program files & you uninstall LW...goodbye shared files
