Uploading problem on Limewire Pro

Hi there. It looks like I am firewalled on my Limewire Pro. The program connects on a turbo connection but I cannot upload, I also see a brick wall at the bottom of my screen.

Please help!! :(

Here are my details:

1. OS version? - Windows XP Home Edition

2. What firewalls you have? - Trend Micro PC Cillin

3. How much ram? - 1k gb DDR Ram

4. Hard Disk space available? - 35.Gb

5. Connection type? - 2MB Broadband

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? BT Home Hub

7. Where are you trying to connect from - Home

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? Limewiere 4.12.3 Pro, Java 1.6.0_02

9. Who is your ISP - BT 2MB Broadband

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? - It Worked fine

11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. My laptop is wireless, along with another hard wired computer to the router.

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user - It is not my 1st try, I know a fair bit about computers & limewier but would say I'm a pro.

13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/attach...1&d=1158099342 - Yes

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? I have tried both & still no luck.

15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...lies/smile.gif - PC Cillin Trend Micro.

16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). United Kingdom

Thanks in advance! :)

Try Port Forwarding your router. See below Link.

Port Forwarding for the BT Home Hub.

Also check your settings in Trend and allow full access for Limewire. Hope this helps. :D

I have also read that BT might be shapping or blocking P2P. :(

Might have to call them and see if you can get an admission from them.

Re. Port forwarding

Thanks for your help but unfortunately neither of these have worked. I'm still getting turbo connection but my brick wall is still up!

Anymore suggestions??

Btw

...I also tried turning off my PC Cillin software completely & restarted Limewire but still I had no luck...

You might check your Windows firewall and make sure it is turned off.

Also Look for UK Bob. He might have some info for you on ISP's in the UK

hmmm...

...I've heard a rumour about various isp's blocking them too.

I have sent a message to ukbob so hopefully he'll get back to me & maybe i can get onto the idiots at BT.

Btw...I have checked my Windows firewall & it is off.

Thanks guys, anymore info is greatly appreciated!
