Default Need Major Help - My .mp3 file names have been changed to .zip

all of the files i download show up as music and within 30 minutes are all turned into zip files. how do i fix this

One of us is going to have to somehow come up with the 'cure' for this prob !
I reckon it's going to become a more and more frequent subject here...

I've searched and searched for info re: 'fixes' and there just aren't any mentioned, right ?

Hope the post I did in the link you quote above will maybe help... i.e. seeing if the program Prevx 2 is any help.

I am confident tha Prevx will get rid of the source Trojan and associated viruses, but how to help 'normal users' to then return the files to their proper original extension names ?

Nasty problem.

This happened to me a while ago only it wasnt just mp3s it was every file i had downloaded from LW. I got the free version of AVG virus killer and ran it and it did the trick. Unfortunatley you will probably find as I did that you have lost all of your mp3 files.
