Angry Why am I only getting MP3 files?

Hello, I hope somebody knows what is going on here. I used to download wma files all the time. I had a huge pick of them whenever I did a search. Ever since I plugged in my new MP3 player into the computer Limewire changed and only gives me MP3 files when I do a search. While I do want MP3 files for my player I still want to get my choice of wma files to put on cd. Is there any way to change Limewire back? Thank you for any help.

Make sure that .wma isn't being filtered out (tools > options > filters > keywords & check that wma isn't in the list).

If you want to search specifically for wma files, then search for song title - wma or artist - wma or album - wma...you get the idea
Don't get confused between the icon that you see beside music files (just indicates the default player that you're using) & the actual file extension

If you need to make WMP your default again,
in LW's library, click on Saved Files then click Explore. Your saved folder will open. Now right click on the video file that you want to play > open with > choose program. Choose WMP from the list & tick the box to always use the selected program to open files of this type > ok.

What you should know about WMA Files

reyalto, you didn't follow my advice in post #2 did you? The original poster wanted to download .wma files

If you don't want to see .wma in your search results: In LW tools > options > filters > keywords. Add .wma to the keyword filter > apply > ok. Now you shouldn't see those files in your searches any more!
